Thank you for your support. I have been sharing handmade gift ideas with you lately. I've been pretty busy and productive making these and these for family, neighbors and friends as I prepare for Christmas this year. Making things myself really helps to put me in the Christmas Spirit! Another very popular gift I'm working on this year are a couple of recipes for gifts in a jar. With grocery prices being so high this year, I feel like some food gifts will be appreciated by many and I have found and come up with some great recipes! Plus, I've found efficient, quick ways to pack and seal them so that making up a bunch of these gifts is a snap! First, I'll start with a couple of recipes! One uses a quart jar and one uses pint jars.

Thank you for your support. I've been noticing that there are a lot of crafts and ornaments made with vintage sheet music around the internet this year. Another trend are the ornaments that have the names that Jesus Christ is known by throughout the scriptures. I love both of these trends and decided it would be great to combine them into one style of ornament. I love keep Christ in Christmas and this a beautiful reminder of Him that can hang on the tree the entire season.

Thank you for your support. I was browsing around Michael's the other day and came across a Christmas print that I really liked. I'd seen similar types of sayings on Pinterest, but not in the holiday version. (You know, "You are the Flip to my flop" type of thing.) There were a couple of pairings on it that didn't really go with our family, so I decided to come home and come up with some of my own, adapting the way the Michael's version was made. A couple of the things that I changed were that I had to include, "Holly to My Jolly" because I love that Christmas Carol, as well as Silver Bells. Oh, and of course "Cocoa to my Bomb." After designing it the way that I wanted it, I sent it off to my local Staples where I had it printed as a blueprint poster in the 18 x 24 size for about $3 and something cents. I actually printed 2 of them in case I want to give one away! I love how it came out. Today, I'm giving you the printable that I came up with for free! All you have to do is click on the image below and download it from the pdf. Then, you can send it to your print center and have it printed! If they are worried about copyright, just show them this post where I am telling you that you can print it for free! Michael's Knock-off Print: I framed mine in a poster frame from Hobby Lobby that was on sale for 50% off, so it cost me about $6. It would look great framed in a magnetic frame like Alicia taught us how to make on this post. Or, you could mount it on a canvas or board. I love the festive feel it gives to my family room! After working on this print, I started wondering about other pairings that would work well in this style of poster. Many people in our family have second languages that they speak and I decided that I could use those languages in a meaningful way in a similar fashion. This is what I came up with: After creating this poster, I decided that it would be terrific on a Christmas Card, especially to give to family and people that you really love. So, I printed it on my on printer to postcard style 5 x 7 inch cards. They look really good and they can be mailed either as a postcard, or in the envelope with a photo included! The great thing, that 5 x 7 size is perfect to frame and set on a bookshelf during the holidays! We are making the multi language print available on our Etsy shop for a really good price! If you love languages like we do in our family or if someone you love does, this print will be the perfect personalized card or gift. I hope that you love them as much as I do! By the way! No one in our family speaks Hawaiian. My husband speaks Tahitian, but in Tahiti they say "Joyeux Noel" since they are a French territory. So, the Hawaiian is a nod to the Polynesian language in our home. This post contains affiliate links. Advent Calendars are a popular activity with so many families during the holiday season. Many families that I know have 2 or 3 advent calendars going at once. There may be activity ones, chocolate ones, ones with toys or verses, ornaments... There are so many out there! Even though I don't have young children at home anymore, I still love looking at all of the choices each year and see what someone else has come up with. Every year for the last few years we have put up our favorites for you to see and perhaps get for your own family. Now is the time to start deciding because December 1st will get here pretty quickly!
