I don't know how many of you observe Lent, or are aware of it, but Lent starts this week on Wednesday. In our religion we do not observe Lent, but I have always loved the idea of having a particular focus in my life to help me be more Christlike, especially leading up to Easter. Well, maybe it was the fact that our phones can hear our very thoughts, but I came across this ad for a 40 day walk with Jesus during Lent. You can read more about the Forty Forty Challenge here and sign up if you'd like. The concept is that you spend each day of Lent walking or running a mile, while studying the book of Acts. If you register you get a shirt, and there are different challenges associated with it. I loved this idea, however the fee to register is $50 and I thought, "well I could do this for free and create my own reading schedule." Then I thought, "I'd rather study the 4 Gospels instead of the book of Acts." Then I thought, "I could create my own group with anyone who wants to do this with me and then we can read and walk together no matter where we live." So, that's what I did! I created a reading schedule using the Four Gospels, and I created a group on an app called Team Reach for all my friends and family who wanted to participate could join. With Lent starting this Wednesday, my mom thought I should put the reading schedule here just in case anyone who reads our blog would also like to follow along! If you want, you could create your own group chat or Facebook page with your friends and family to do your walk and reading together! Check out the reading schedule below!
I hope if you do something like this it will help you prepare for a very spiritual and special Easter holiday!

Oh, I love this! What a great idea. Similarly, I don't observe Lent but love this idea of a "countdown" to Easter by walking with Christ. Thanks for sharing!
