Why Onions are one of the best crops to grow in your garden, (and how I'm preserving them)!7/25/2025 This post contains affiliate links. Thank you for your support! This was the first year that I have grown onions in my garden! As you know, I've regrown green onions on my windowsill, but that had been the extent of my onion growing until this year. It has very much been a satisfying and learning experience!
My goal has been to have a garden that produces all year round so that I am always able to harvest something. Onions have definitely been helping me to achieve that goal. Thank you for your support! A few days before my granddaughter came for a visit, she messaged me and told me that she had something that we just had to put on the blog! Even over a video message I could see that these Churro Snap Cookies were something special! We made plans to make a video of Jayda making them during the time that we were together.
If you love churros, think of churros on steroids, because not only do you get the crunchy cinnamon cookie, but then there is the absolutely delicious cinnamon frosting! And these churros are baked, not fried, so to my mind much easier to make. We had such a great time putting together this video. Please click the Read More message and come and have fun with us! I've tried so many new things and we've harvested so much already, while the garden is still producing pretty well, even though the temps are high and things are starting to finish up.
I've told you about some of the things that I've been trying out this year on this post and I gave you a report about our successful garden workshop that we held at Anita's on this post. One of the things I tried this year was growing popcorn in my 3 Sister's Garden. I just finished eating a bowl of it and now I'm going to tell you about what this popcorn experiment has taught me and whether it was a success or not. |
