I've been watching The Great British Bake Off again on Netflix. You know what that means, I saw something that I wanted to try to bake myself. During bread week, for her show-stopper, one of the contestants made adorable pumpkin shaped rolls to go inside her cornucopia. I don't know what flavor hers were, but I thought to myself, wouldn't it be fun to use a yeasted pumpkin dough to make these. I found a few recipes and techniques online. Then I thought to myself, how about mixing the dough in the bread machine and save myself some time? Well, let me tell you, at this point I've made 3 batches of these rolls and everyone loves them!

In my journey to learn more about using essential oils, I've accumulated quite a collection of them! I have to admit that my inventory of oils has far exceeded my knowledge of how to use them all effectively. I really love diffusing them and putting together different combinations to get the most pleasing and beneficial aromas. So, when I saw some ideas out there about using essential oils in room air fresheners, I was intrigued and then excited to find out how easy they are to put together and delighted with the idea of using something without harmful ingredients to scent my home.
Some of the oils that I saw used in online recipes for essential oil room sprays weren't ones that I already have in my inventory. I decided to try to use what I have on hand and come up with some scents that I love and then use them to make Christmas gifts this year for friends and family! I'm sharing my recipes with you today! We love eating seafood in our family, but as you know, it can be pricey!
Alicia found a great price on frozen flounder filets at her local Kroger store in GA, just $5.00 for a package of about 7 or 8 filets! I've found the same deal at my Kroger store (Frys) here is AZ, so if you have a Kroger store near you, I'll bet they have similar deals. Alicia hadn't prepared flounder before. It is a tender white fish with a delicate flavor. She looked around for recipes and didn't have the ingredients called for for the one she found. She decided to make up her own recipe. It quickly became a family favorite! Her children scarfed it down and asked for more! When I went to visit her after she had her most recent baby, she prepared this flounder dish for me and I knew that it needed to be shared on the blog! |
