the Best Treats for Christmas for Christmas in July-Featuring Frozen Peppermint Hot Cocoa Shots7/17/2023 This post contains affiliate links. Back in 2018 when we did our original live Christmas in July, we shared some really yummy treats to serve at your own Christmas in July party. We had festive Watermelon Stars and Strawberry Santa Hats. We served a veggie tray shaped like a Christmas Tree. And of course, sugar cookies to decorate. Recently I've found some recipes that look perfect for a summery Christmas party!
Since our blog is the home of the Original Hot Cocoa Bomb, I had to find a way to incorporate Hot Cocoa into our Christmas in July Celebration! Frozen Hot Cocoa seemed to be the perfect solution! To serve a crowd and to cut back on the sugar and sweets, I made my grandchildren Peppermint Hot Cocoa Shots, in cute smaller juice glasses, topped with Cool Whip or whipped cream and sprinkles, of course! They pronounced them good! Even if you aren't celebrating Christmas in July, these are a refreshing summer way to enjoy Hot Cocoa!

Making shelf sitting bookstacks has become my new passion! It is so much fun to come up with a meaningful saying to put on them, and then to decorate them appropriately.
I've already shared with you a simple religious message stack, and a Harry Potter themed stack. Now I'm excited to share this very cheery Merry and Bright Christmas Bookstack!

Some years, there just isn't time to make gingerbread cookies. No time to roll them out, decorate them, cut out a house, glue it together and so forth. This, my friends, is one of those years.
But, just because we are having a year like that, doesn't mean we can't enjoy the flavor or gingerbread, with its tangy bite and the delicious, creamy frosting that sets off the warm flavor so well! Gingerbread Loaf is perfect for that craving! It doesn't have too much molasses and the amount of spices is just perfect. The cream cheese frosting has orange zest, or you could use lemon. Citrus pairs so well with gingerbread!
I decided that this year my friends would receive a "flight" of sweet bread loaves from our family. They are quick to make and taste really good. They will be easy to present in a pretty way. The decorations are super easy to do and I can whip up the loaves in a short amount of time. This Gingerbread Loaf was my first choice. I baked my loaf in an 8 mini loaf pan. The recipe give directions for one regular loaf. So, just adjust the temperature as needed.
