Thank you for your support. Our family loves playing games together! Every year, we find new games to gift to one another that quickly become favorites! This past year was no exception. I personally received about 5 new games as gifts from various people. I'm listing the top 3 with a couple of honorable mentions as well, meaning that I really like them, but they haven't caught on with everyone yet. In this winter weather, when people are spending more time inside, (even in Phoenix, it has been raining!), a new game or two makes those cozy indoor days a lot of fun! One game that everyone in our music loving family has had a lot of fun with is called Grab the Mic! It is game that proves that there is a song for every word in your vocabulary! If you are like our family and when you hear a certain word or phrase it makes you break into song, this song is for you! There are cards that have one word that when read, the first person who can grab the foam mic and start singing a song with that word in it gets a point. My granddaughter dominated at this game! So, we came up with another version in which we passed the mic to give everyone a chance to try to come up with a song for the word, if they couldn't, they passed it to he next person. Later, after the rest of the family was gone, my husband and I played by ourselves and sang the oldies that we know, because we are not as fast at grabbing the mic or thinking as the younger crowd is. LOL. We still had so much fun together! This is a great party game no matter which way you play it! Another hilarious game is Quick, Quick, Quick! In this game, you have to think fast to come up with 3 responses to a prompt on a card. You try to do as many cards as you can before the timer goes off. There aren't really any wrong answers, and it is so funny to hear what comes into people's heads. My husband had me laughing so hard that I could hardly breathe! I was surprised at how well even the younger kids did at this game! If you are a Scrabble lover, but don't have time for a full game, this quick Scrabble Slam game is a lot of fun. It is fast paced and I might add, good spelling and phonics practice for the younger set. My grandkids didn't think that they would like it, but we were cracking up by the end of the game! My grandson gave me this Ring Toss and Hook game. I had played it once as a large human sized game outside of a restaurant once, and I won! But, now, everyone is better than I am! LOL. It is a great game to just have in the center of the table to try to do at your leisure, as well as to compete with others. So far, I've only had a chance to play this game, NOPE, once. But, it has potential to be a lot of fun! I haven't figured out the best strategy yet, but the idea is to be the last person standing and to make everyone else get rid of all of their cards. (If you have played it and can give me any strategic tips, let me know! Yes, I'm that competitive!) Are there any new games that you have tried this year? Drop them in the comments! We are always up for a good game! Other links to more recent games we love!

Those games sound so much fun. Think I like the one where you sing. Saw your post at Crazy Little Lovebirds #132. My posts are #23, 23, and 25. Enjoy.
