Amazon Favorites
Is there anyone out there who hasn't used Amazon?  It is just so convenient and if you are a Prime Member, that free shipping is a game changer when it comes to gift giving to people who live across the country, or for any reason!  I hate paying shipping costs!  So much Christmas and Birthday shopping happens on line these days, and I'll bet that 99% of it happens on Amazon.  While I do love a good shopping experience in a brick and mortar store sometimes, I have to admit that I have jumped on board the Amazon train with both feet!
This past holiday season, about 50% of my gift giving was done through Amazon.  I do make many of my gifts, but even the components for making those gifts often came to me through an Amazon order.  Sometimes, even searching Amazon can be a bit tedious, so I love it when someone shares amazing finds on there with a link that saves me from taking the time to search for something that I didn't even realize I wanted! LOL!   Today, I'm going to share with you some of our favorite things that we've ordered from Amazon this past year!
Toys and Games
My grandson really wanted a Lego Dinosaur World set for Christmas that included a Mosasaurus and boat.  It was pretty pricey, but then I found this Lego compatible set that is big and really cool and includes the Mosasaur, the boat and a pterodactyl.  It is really a cool set! The price was terrific!    Unfortunately, it is currently unavailable, but watch for its return!

I couldn't resist getting this cute little wooden
tea set
for my granddaughter.  It has adorable little
cookies to serve on the tray with the tea pot and
cups and saucers.  I love the cute strawberries that
sit on the edges of the cups.  It is smaller than I expected,
but I thing any little girl will love it!

When my husband and I spent a week with some old army friends at their time share in Sun Valley, ID,  They introduced us to the game called Five Crowns.  It was so much fun that I had to order one for ourselves!  It is a great game for up to 7 players and involves strategy and luck!  Don't miss the cost cutting coupon available when you order now!

While visiting Alicia, she and her husband introduced
me to the game Qwixx!  It is a super fun dice game that is easy
for all ages to play and is pretty addictive!  One game will only talk
a few minutes to play, but once you get going, you won't want
to stop.  When you order the game, you'd better order
some extra score sheets while you are at it!

These 8.5" drawing tablets are such a great price and come in packs of 3!  I was able to buy a couple of sets and break them up between my grandchildren, plus I got extras to share with others.  I even have fun drawing on them!

I'm always on the lookout for good prices on honey, and this Glory Bee Organic Honey is a good price!  I ordered it to make orange infused honey to give as Christmas gifts this year.  (I'll blog about that later.)  I wasn't disappointed with the quality or taste!

I have fallen in love with these pastry bag ties!  I never knew these existed until I came upon them accidentally when I was ordering new piping bags!  They work so great to keep the frosting or whatever you are piping from leaking back out the end of the bag!  You get 40 of them in a set, so you can share with fellow bakers!

I love these pretty hobnail drinking glasses.  They are a great price!  I sent them as a gift, but I'm thinking of getting some for myself!

I gifted these oil dispensers this year.  They are pretty sweet because you can pour or spray from them!  They make a great gift with a nice bottle of olive oil or avocado oil.  Unfortunately, I forgot to get myself one, so I will be ordering another one!

Don't you love a nice, plush bathroom rug?  I saw this rug and knew it was what I wanted.  I ordered 2!  Just for my bathroom!  The price is just right as well!

My office chair!  After years of hand-me-down chairs and a sore back, I finally got myself a chair that is comfortable and perfect for me to sit in while blogging!  I love that the arms lift up so that I can push it all of the way under the desk out of the way when not in use!

Books

If you know me, you know that I love the Mitford Books by Jan Karon.  I was so excited when I saw this newest addition to the saga was published this year!  I finished it over the Christmas Holidays.  What I perfect read.  I had to gift it to my dear friend who also loves these books.  You can read my full review of these books here.

For anyone that is a Jane Austen fan, you will really like this imagined sequel to Pride and Prejudice by Carrie Kablean.  I love the way she shows the younger sister Kitty's growth in this novel, What Kitty Did Next.  There are a lot of other sequels to Pride and Prejudice out there, and I usually don't like it when authors try to  guess what the original author of any book would have meant to have happen. This book is the exception.   If you give it a read, let me know how you liked it.

I ordered this set of Water Coloring Books to entertain a couple of my grandchildren that I was babysitting.  I may have had more fun with them than they did!  I love them because there is no mess, they are reusable and the price is right.
Garden
When it comes to starting seedlings for my garden, I have come to love and trust this Miracle Gro Seed Starting Potting Mix.  I started a lot of seedlings this year for our Garden Workshop and I had such a great success using this soil.  I tried others, but this one to me was by for the best.

When you don't have enough window space to give your new seedlings enough light, these grow lights did the trick for me.  They are very reasonably priced and come with what you need to stick them into place.

This bamboo trellis is expandable and just what I needed to have my peas grow up on.  So far, it is working great!

Last but Not Least...
The thing that I send to all of my children and children in-law for their birthdays is an Amazon gift card!  It is always appreciated, they can get what they want, I can send it to them as a text onto their phones, so it is instantaneous and ready for them to use when they want to.  You an choose your amount, so this gift fits into any budget!

And 1 Final Tip...
If you don't have Prime, you can check out Amazon Haul!  There are some fantastic deals on there and if you order $25 worth of stuff, shipping is free!
