It doesn't feel much like Fall in Phoenix right now, but I am trying to live like it is Fall anyway. Even though we have been having a heat wave, I've still been canning and doing fall like things. So, I thought I'd share with you a few things that I am loving right now, and have the girls chime in as well! My New Office Chair! I can't tell you how much I am loving this new chair! I was having all kinds of trouble with my hips and started thinking I was going to need to have them replaced or else I had terrible arteritis and didn't know what to do. I had broken my old chair and was sitting in a wooden dining room chair at my computer. I knew that I needed a new office chair, but I didn't really associate my pain with my chair to the extent that I was suffering until now that I have this new one and the difference is amazing! It is ergonomically designed, the wheels fit right into my desk space when not in use and the arm rests pull up so I can tuck it in out of the way. Since my computer and desk are on one side of my kitchen, this is very important to me! My hips aren't perfect, (I am old), but so much better! My Steam Canner! Last year, my son and dil gave me a steam canner. I love it! I've been canning peaches and apples of late, and the steam canner is ready to go so much faster and uses so much less water. That doesn't mean I have stopped waterbath canning, I can use both the steam canner and the waterbath canner at the same time and get twice as much done at once! My Dehydrator! I have a small dehydrator that I have used to finish up preserving the last of my apples and peaches. They are so tasty and are a great snack. Dehydrated fruit is terrific to put into a trail mix. I may be posting about dehydrating soon, watch for it! My dehydrator is round, but I am tempted to get a square one or a larger one. They are pretty reasonably prices and super easy to use. I didn't find mine on Amazon, it is oldish, but here are some similar ones. My Food Saver Jar Sealer! I love this little tool that allows me to seal my dry food items in jars. See those apples above? Sealed with this tool. Keeping the oxygen out keeps the dehydrated food crisper and safer. I had to replace my range! I am converted to buying appliances from Costco because they carry good quality brands, they add an additional year warranty for free, Costco delivers your new appliance and takes away your old one, and they provide excellent customer service and support! My newest appliance it this GE Gas Range that I am still learning and loving so far. It has built in convection oven, air fryer and pizza settings. I love the top long burner with a griddle and most of all, the removable tray in the bottom for easy cleaning with your pie leaks over! Lindsey isn't loving a specific thing, but she is loving that she is homeschooling this year and also leading a Homeschoolers Choir! She is so musically talented and her students are so lucky to have her as a teacher. I know she makes it fun for them. If you live the Prescott Valley, AZ area, and you have children that would love to sing in a choir, you should check out her classes. You can find it through Prescott Valley Parks and Rec. Alicia says she is loving her mini-stepper! It is small enough to keep in her closet and work out on daily. That is important to her since she had a baby this year and it is hard to get away to a gym. Hers comes with resistance bands for toning up overall. It is quiet and portable! Maddy didn't get a chance to chime in before time to post this entry to the blog. But, we all know that she loves her dog, Boots, the best! Dogs are so great to cuddle anytime of year, but in the Fall and winter is seems even better! So, today I'll end with an adorable picture of my Grand dog, Boots!
