Thank you for your support. I've been noticing that there are a lot of crafts and ornaments made with vintage sheet music around the internet this year. Another trend are the ornaments that have the names that Jesus Christ is known by throughout the scriptures. I love both of these trends and decided it would be great to combine them into one style of ornament. I love keep Christ in Christmas and this a beautiful reminder of Him that can hang on the tree the entire season.

It is time to start preparing for Thanksgiving! One of my favorite times of year! If you are panicked about hosting Thanksgiving this year and need help, quickly click on this link and get some help! Now that you have calmed down, LOL, you can focus on some fun things that will offer that extra umph to your Thanksgiving table! Back in 2019, I shared this idea about making cloth napkins and an ornament favor to give to each of your guests. I still love the idea. This post contains affiliate links. If you recognize those coasters it is because I did a tutorial on how to make them awhile back using some inspirational quoted I had found online. I loved how they turned out and I thought to myself that after our Church's next General Conference, I would design some of the quotes that stood out to me to make more that would be even more personal.
Well, at the beginning of October, it was General Conference time again and as usual, I took copious notes as all of the speakers' talks. As I go back and look over my notes from time to time, there are certain thoughts that were shared that have become more and more meaningful to me. Today I am sharing 6 of my favorites in printable form. I used Canva to design them and you are free to use mine that I am sharing today, or if you have your own favorites, Canva is a great place to design your own.

A couple of weeks ago our women's group at church had a crafting day and one of the projects we made were tile coasters decoupaged with scrapbook paper. They came out very pretty!
Because I was teaching a different craft, (the bookstacks!), I simply brought home my coaster supplies with me to finish at home. While I was thinking about making them, I was also thinking about our churches' general conference that is coming up in October and wondering how I could best remember some of the messages and incorporate them into my life. Perusing Pinterest, I found a beautiful set of past conference quotes that someone had designed into little square note sized cards. They were created by Aretta who has the blog, My Upside Down Umbrella. They are beautiful illuminations of quotes from conference in 2022. I thought that they would be perfect to add to my coasters! Since she offers them as a free download, it was so easy to do! (She also has April 2023 quotes here!) |
