...Jenny Moses with her suggestion of a Tuxedo or Black and White Hot Cocoa Bomb!
Congratulations Jenny!  You will be receiving an assortment of Fall flavored Hot Cocoa Bombs and a printed copy of our new e-book, which will be published shortly, after we add your Tuxedo Hot Cocoa Bomb flavor to it!
We've decided that our runners up will also be receiving some bombs in the flavor that they suggested so that they can see how great they turned out, (and if they match what they were thinking of when they suggested them!)  We will be contacting you soon!
  • For all of you readers, there is more good news! Our newest Fall Hot Cocoa Bomb e-book is scheduled to launch the beginning of October and you will be able to find out how to make the Black and White Tuxedo and other fabulous flavors for yourselves!
  • Our 2nd bit of good news is that in November we will be hosting the 3 Winks Holly and Mistletoe Boutique to give everyone their craft show fix in spite of the pandemic!  For those 3 days only, we will be selling Hot Cocoa Bombs in our Etsy Shop!  So watch for that!
  • If anyone wants to be a vendor in the boutique, drop us a message or go to our Facebook page and you can fill out a vendor application.

That is a lot to come back and check on!
Congrats Again Jenny!

Okay Guys!  Time's up!  The Fall suggestions for Hot Cocoa Bombs are in and I have tried and tested so many flavors!  My goodness, you guys had some great ideas!  Let me explain the criteria that went into making our finalist choices:
  1. Some of you suggested flavors that are very similar (or the same) as flavors we already make.  So, those didn't fall into the contender category.
  2. Since many people make Hot Cocoa Bombs to give away in volume or sell at craft shows, I wanted flavors that were cost effective and not too time consuming to make.
  3. Hot Cocoa Bombs need to be made of ingredients that will dissolve well in milk.  That can be a challenge.  Many hot cocoas and other ingredients are designed for water and surprisingly do not dissolve in milk.  It is all about the testing!
I also need to explain that in the event that we had more than one person suggest a flavor, we will award the prize to the person who suggested it first.  Our comments are time stamped, so we can figure that out.
Okay!  Now on to the Top 3 Flavors that we want you to vote on.  I know that you haven't tasted them yet, so you will have to imagine how you think that they will taste by the description we give you.  I've got to say that choosing the top 3 was so difficult!  But, I do love these choices. I am going to present them to you in random order, not by my preference or anything, so don't be influenced by the order. Please vote for only 1 choice.
Butterbeer Hot Cocoa Bomb:  The Harry Potter reference alone make this idea for a Hot Cocoa Bomb a great idea! This bomb made the cut because of the creamy, butterscotch flavor that shines through the white chocolate shell.  This is a great option for people who don't want the normal Hot Cocoa flavor. What makes it even more delicious is the extra white chocolate creaminess and flavor it has because of a secret ingredient on the inside!  (We will reveal that secret in our new Hot Cocoa Bomb ebook, coming soon!) Submitted by Carrie Bryce

Hazelnut Hot Cocoa Bomb:  When I first heard this suggestion from my SIL, who is not allowed to win, I knew it would be great.  Then a couple more people suggested it, so it obviously had to make the cut.  At first I thought that just adding Nutella to the bomb would be the thing I needed to do.  But, that didn't work out very well as the Nutella didn't want to dissolve in the milk.  So...we figured out another solution, which was really funny because our entire family came up with the solution at about the same time with spectacular results.  Chocolate and hazelnut together are a delicious combination! Submitted by Alison Eager
The Black and White Bomb:  When this idea was submitted, they suggested a Tuxedo Bomb with dark and white chocolate.  In my mind, I pictured making the shell look like a tuxedo, but that was very difficult to do in a Hot Cocoa Bomb mold.  Then Alicia suggested doing it like a black and white cookie, half dark chocolate and half white chocolate.  That was much easier to work out and instead of a tuxedo, I added a string of pearls!  I was afraid that this bomb would taste too similar to our original Hot Cocoa Bomb, but once again I added that secret ingredient and the difference is amazing!  This is a rich and creamy tasting bomb!  Submitted by Jenny Moses

Each year since we came up with the idea for Hot Cocoa Bombs, it has been a lot fun dreaming up  new flavors and finding new ways to decorate them and gift them.  We have come up with many more ideas since first publishing our original Hot Cocoa Bomb Idea Book, and we have decided that it is time to put out a new one!
Before we put the book together, we want to make sure we have Fall covered!  More than just ideas, this edition will have new flavor recipes and fun ideas for decorating and displaying your Hot Cocoa Bombs.  We've been brain storming new ideas for Fall flavors and we decided to ask you guys for your suggestions!  Not only that, we will turn this flavor brainstorm into a contest!  Here is how it will work, tell us your flavor idea. Next week we will put up a list of suggested flavors for everyone to vote on. We will test out the top 3 suggestions.  If your flavor suggestion wins, you will win a selection of Fall flavored Hot Cocoa Bombs shipped to your door, plus the new Hot Cocoa Bomb Fall Booklet printed and ready for you to use!  Plus, your flavor will be accredited to you in the new Cocoa Bomb book!  Best of all, you can have your Hot Cocoa Bombs in time for Halloween or you can save them for Thanksgiving and make some more by using your booklet to tell you how!

Now, here is a list of the Cocoa Bombs that we already make so that you can get your brain working and not try to enter with a duplicate flavor.  Also, we only want family/kid friendly flavors.  No alcohol or coffee flavors. Thanks!
  • Original (and in sugar free)
  • Malted Milk
  • Cookies and Cream
  • Cinnamon (and in sugar free)
  • Pumpkin Pie Spice (comes in sugar free)
  • Peanut Butter (also in sugar free)
  • Salted Caramel
  • Cherry Cordial
  • Peppermint (also in sugar free)
  • Gingerbread
  • Chocolate Covered Strawberry (video)
For our Fall book, we will be featuring Malted Milk, Cinnamon, Pumpkin Pie Spice and Salted Caramel.  We would like to add one more flavor to that list!  So, fire away with your ideas!  We will test the ones we think are possibilities and tell you the results of the contest by the first week of October!
Hot Cocoa Bombs have become a Fall and Winter tradition in our family.  We hope you love them, too! So, leave your flavor suggestion in the comments below.  Or, you can comment on Facebook or Instagram as well.  If you want your suggestion to win, have your friends suggest it as well, then it will have a better of chance of getting into the top 3!
Contest is open to US residents only. It's not affiliated with Weebly, Facebook, or Instagram.
