Thank you for your support. 2022 was not a great year for our family and to top it all off, I didn't get very many Hot Cocoa Bombs made. Happily, now that 2023 has begun, the weather has been a little more the way that it should be with rain and colder temperatures, so there is still time to enjoy some delicious Hot Cocoa Bombs to warm us all up! Hot Cocoa is such great comfort food! (or drink!) This particular flavor is one I came up with in 2017 and we made our first Hot Cocoa Bomb tutorial video about it! Since chocolate covered strawberries make a great Valentine's Day treat, I thought that I would share this post with you again just as we get into February! Enjoy! Today is the big day! We are publishing our Hot Cocoa Bomb Video Tutorial! It is available for your viewing pleasure right here on this site, or on Facebook or on YouTube! Take your pick and watch it over and over again if you want. (I probably will!) While the tutorial basics are the same as in our picture tutorial that you can find here, this video also introduces a new flavor of Bomb that we are sure you will all love! It is Chocolate Strawberry! At Valentine's Day, one favorite gift is chocolate dipped strawberries, so we thought, why not a Chocolate Strawberry Bomb? And look how pretty they are with the Wilton iridescent Valentines sprinkles sitting in those cute cupcake cups. I found mine at Walmart, but there are similar ones here and here. These will definitely be making an appearance on our Valentine's Day breakfast table. Without further ado, here is the video! The basics for creating these Strawberry Bombs are the same as you will find on this link, but here are the differences that make this flavor unique.
If you want a hard copy of the directions, You can find the printable version of our Hot Cocoa Bomb Idea Book in our Etsy shop! It contains many ideas for flavors and for decorating your Hot Cocoa Bombs. Once again, here is a link to the Wilton Molds that we use, here and here. For those of you who live in colder climates, Hot Cocoa Bombs are a great way to get cozy and warmed up on a cold winter's night. For those of us in Phoenix, we have to hurry and take advantage of our cooler mornings and nights for just a little bit longer and get in our Hot Cocoa Bomb fix while we can! Chocolate Strawberry, or Cherry Cordial are perfect for a cold Valentine's Day morning! After you watch the marshmallows pop up to the top of the cup, add some more, or whipped cream and sprinkles to make them extra sweetl for this sweetheart of a day! If you are looking for recipes to make a wonderful, romantic dinner, check out Renny's Recipes! If Valentine's Day isn't your cup of tea, try these ideas from Alicia for an UnValentine's Day party or date. (Hot Cocoa Bombs will work in either situation though.) Let us know how you liked our video and if you try making Hot Cocoa Bombs, let us know how it went! We can give you some tips to help you be successful, if you have any questions.

I recently was reminded of this quote. I thought I had read it in the Mitford Series, and maybe I did because she quotes a lot of great writers in those books. But, when I looked it up, the credit is given to writer Jody Picoult in her book Handle With Care, so that is who we have credited it to. Here is the quote:
When you love someone, you say their name different. Like it's safe inside your mouth.
Once, when I was visiting with my sister, Sandi, she told me that she loved that she could tell how much my husband loves me by the way he looks at me and says my name. I already knew that he loves me, but when she told me that, it made me take more notice and appreciate the way he does show his love for me in ways that he doesn't even realize himself. It made me wonder if I showed my love for him in the same way. Do I keep his name safe in my mouth?
I shared Ms. Picoult's quote with friends on Facebook and two of my friends gave me even more perspective on this thought of being safe when we are loved, and keeping other's names safe as well.
I talked to my girls about this quote and the thoughts it brought to mind and we decided that it is a perfect quote for Valentine's Day. Alicia, who is becoming quite a pro on Canva, designed 4 styles of this quote for you to print and frame for your own home. The actual quote was a little long for an
8 x 10 printable, so we shortened it, but the message still comes across. We hope this thought will be a wonderful reminder of how we should show love to one another in our homes and in our dealings with loved ones and, well, everyone really! You can choose which style you would like to print simply by clicking on the photos below. You will receive a PDF copy to print. Then, just trim it up to fit into an 8 x 10 inch frame!
