I have been browsing and purchasing things from Etsy for over ten years now! My first 2 purchases were vintage Polaroid cameras that I still have and love. I continue to purchase unique gifts and items I love from Etsy today.
Why Buy from etsy
I love purchasing from Etsy for a few reasons:
3 recent Etsy Purchases that I love
So what are the 3 things I've bought from Etsy recently and I love?
First is art- as I mentioned before I have loved browsing the art on Etsy recently. I am looking for meaningful art to hang in my home. As a result I came across lots of religious art that speaks to me. I wish I could buy it all, but so far I have only made a few purchases that I'm extremely happy with. The first print I bought is one I can print at home from a shop called BibleSketches. They do these great line art prints that for me help me to focus on the story and miracles in the Bible. The print I purchased is called Walk on Water (Peter and Jesus).
I also bought a print of Mary and Joseph traveling from a shop called PartyVida. The print is called Seeking Refuge. I loved the style of the painting and that I could also print it at home.
I also bought two prints from EmilyShayArt that I had sent to some loved ones as a gift.
If you want meaningful art that is something different than what you see all the time at stores around you, check out Etsy because you're sure to find something that speaks to you.
Second is a Date Night Card set. Adrian and I are trying to be more diligent in having date night once a week, even if it's just at home. I bought these cards that have almost 200 dates so we can always have a fresh idea. The set I bought are from a shop called Prints of Life. They also include a coupon book of things you can do for your spouse like prepare them breakfast in bed, clean a room from top to bottom, or even a 5 minute hug (seems excessive but you can customize it). The date ideas range from easy to do at the last minute to require some
planning. Last night we wrote a song together, a suggestion from a card, and it was a lot of fun!
Third are coloring pages for my kids. At church this year we are studying The Old Testament. Scriptures can be confusing enough at a young age but the Old Testament has a lot of imagery and symbolism that can be confusing for young kids. That's why I bought these two resources for my kids to help them learn and focus on the meanings of the stories they learn.
The first is abundle that includes coloring pages, journal pages and other study materials. I'm excited for my kids to dive into this and have fun with scripture study this year. It's from a shop called MyCutandPasteDesigns. The second coloring page things I bought are from a shop called CourtneyAitkenDesign. I bought an Old Testament coloring book (that also comes with bookmarks), and a poster reading chart that they can color in as we read and study. I'm going to get it printed as an engineering print to hang in our home and have the kids color it. And be sure to check out the coloring activities we have in our shop too! We've got Women's History coloring pages and Adventures with Grandparents posters and coloring books.
I hope I've inspired you to give Etsy a try. And no this post isn't sponsored by Etsy (though we do get commissions if you go to Etsy and buy something through a link in this post), I just genuinely love shopping on Etsy. What is something you want to search Etsy for?
