. Yes! We finally went to Disneyland. We had so much fun with Alicia, Adrian and Adriancito. But, the real purpose of this post is to tell you that my job is over, summer is here and the real art of blogging is about to begin. Over the past weeks, while I haven't been blogging, I have been taking pictures of so many things to tell you about. I just haven't had the time or energy to get to the blogging part. I am so excited to get started now! Here are a few more shots of my cute grandson at Disneyland. As you can see by his face, he didn't really love the carousel. Next, My daughter Lindsey got engaged and is marrying her fiance Austin! I wanted to post pictures of her beautiful ring on her beautiful finger, but I can't make that happen from Facebook. Now, here is one more fabulous announcement! My #5 grandson made his entrance into the world this month! More photos! Welcome little Spencer! We are so excited that you are finally here! Now, you are probably wondering If I am only going to give you a family update or give you any useful information. Sorry, But I couldn't resist letting you see the people I love. As a matter or fact, that leads right into an idea that I have been wanting to share. Here is a great idea that my son had for our recent family get together and I think it could work great for a family reunion activity or something. My son is really into baseball. Behind the church building that he and his family attends, there is a baseball field that he was able to get access to. We live in the same city with many of my husband's siblings. We try to get together with them about once a month, just to keep those family bonds strong. For the month of April, We held a family Home Run Derby! We brought a grill and had hamburgers and hot dogs. There was pie, cookis and lots of other good things to eat. Everyone took turns batting and it was a lot of fun. It was surprising to see how many great hitters we have in our family! It was also really fun to do something active and not just sit around eating and talking. In honor or the occasion, I decided to make some baseball cookies. I had thought about cake pops, but they seemed like too much work. Here are my baseball cookies. They were really simple sugar cookies, and tasty!
Well, summer has just begun and I have a lot more things to share. Our garden is going great and I will be posting about some of the things we do with that. I will probably post about coming wedding ideas and a lot of remodeling news! I will be updating so much more. I hope you will be here to read and comment! (Coming soon...Zucchini Relish!)
