Tomorrow is the beginning of Amazon Prime Day! It couldn't hit at a better time because when I think of Christmas in July, I think of ways to get ready for Christmas in December that will A) Help me be prepared and less rushed in December, and B) Help me save money on gifts, decor and other essentials.
So, while the Prime Day Deals haven't begun yet, I've started a watch list, plus found some deals that are already pretty terrific! Let me share a few!
Advent Calendars
Advent calendars have become big business over the past couple of years! I always had a few going for my kids during the Christmas season! They just add to the excitement and magic of the season for kids. Here are a couple that I really like.
This Play-Doh Advent Calendar comes with 24 little cans of Play-Doh each day, plus play mats and accessories for making fun holiday creations! It will entertain kids for longer than just opening a door and eating a piece of chocolate, (which is also great), and give them a creative outlet. Get it now while it is on sale and save it in your secret hiding place!
I love a calendar that focuses on the reason for the season, and this little advent calendar is perfect for that! It has 24 beautiful little books that tell the Story of Christmas and then become ornaments to hang on the tree. You will be able to use this calendar over and over again each year! It is a great price for something so lasting!
Toys & Gifts
Here are some great toy deals for the kiddies!
With the Barbie Movie coming out, there are more Barbie items available than ever! I know that my littlest granddaughters would love this Barbie Closet filled with clothes and accessories! It is such a great price, too!
These magnetic construction toys are so popular with kids. Who doesn't like playing with magnets? I often have joined in the fun with my grandkids. They can be quite pricey though, so I thought this seemed like a good deal to get now and save for Christmas!
This is the prettiest and most elegant fitness tracking watch I have ever seen! I may be tempted to wear this one! What a great gift that you may want to give before Christmas to yourself!
I know some people who happen to love office type supplies and pens are especially a favorite. I know that I would love this collection of Sharpies in these awesome colors. I may get a few of them, plus a set for myself.
Ornament Kit
When you start in July, you may have enough time to get some handmade ornaments completed!
Diamond painting has become such a trend! These keychain sized ornaments seem like a project that I could get into because I could finish one ornament quickly, rather than an entire picture. But, if you don't think you can get it done, just give the entire kit as a gift!
Organization and Helpful Extras
During the holidays, there is always one thing that has to be dealt with.....LEFTOVERS! This set of glass containers should do the trick! They would also make a great wedding gift!
After my mom passed away last month, I went and stayed with my sister to help with the funeral arrangements. I stayed in my mom's old room. My sister had nightlights in there for her so that if she got up in the night, she could see what she was doing. I found them very helpful myself and I think they would be perfect in guest rooms, hallways or children's rooms. They are motion detecting, so they don't stay on all night long.
I'll be checking out the Prime Day Deals tomorrow, but don't wait to visit these today because I have no idea how long they will last!
Other Christmas Projects to Start on in July!
