Friday Faves #61-May the 4th Be With You!

     Today is officially Star Wars Day all because of that play on words used in our title! May the 4th be with you! Since we are all Star Wars Fans here, Friday Faves today is all about our favorite Star Wars Characters and why they are our favorites! I took a poll on Facebook and there were some strong opinions! 

     Maddy is a huge fan of Star Wars.  While we were at Disneyland, she took advantage of the chances to see many of the Star Wars' characters.  We had photos taken with Darth Vader and Kylo Ren and they were both very scary! The photos came out kind of scary as well, so we aren't posting them! 

    I will share with you who everyone likes and the reasons why from our straw poll.  I will also share some Star Wars' memorabilia that we have found that you may be interested in.  Just click on the picture to go to the link. Luke Skywalker:

•  I was surprised that a number of women (including Maddy)  have a crush on him and find him very attractive.  They love his eyes.  He isn't really my type, but maybe when he was younger?

Han Solo:

• Simply because he is Han!​  Funny and sexy!
• Because he is Harrison Ford with rugged good looks.  
• Lindsey says that he has a good redemption story. He stopped being a rogue and became a fighter for the good guys.
• ​There is much anger because Kylo Ren killed him off.

Chewbacca:

• Very few people knew how to spell his name correctly.
• ​He is a big, sweet, lovable character. Even at Disneyland, he gives big hugs. 
• Here is a  roaring action figure of Chewie. 

Kylo Ren:

• Because some people just like bad boys!  Here you go Amy!

Obi Wan:

• Especially "The New Hope" version.  He is so good looking and always has good quotes.
• He is so good to Luke.
• ​One of my personal faves!
  

Yoda:

• The master of them all. 
• That awesome fight scene against Count Dooku in episode II.​

The Ewoks:

• ​They are cute yet smart.
• ​People who know nothing about Star Wars still know who the Ewoks are.
  

Darth Vader:

• The character development here is heart wrenching and amazing.
• Alicia loves a good redemption story.
  
• The James Earl Jones voice! 
  
• ​He is scary!
  

Princess Leia:

• Her hair and her beauty.
• ​Played an important role as a strong female character. 
  
• ​Her relationship with Han.
  

Qui Gon Ginn;

• He is just as a Jedi should be.
  
• He is the first to discover a sentient afterlife

Admiral Ackbar:

• Because, "It's a trap?"

The Droids:

• R2D2 makes fun noises and is so cool!
• C3PO always worries but does the right thing.  He depends on R2D2.
  
• BB-8 reminds me of Rollie-Pollie-Ollie.
  

     If you have lived in the Dark Ages for the past 40 or so years and haven't seen the Star Wars movies, or if you would just like to get them all on DVD, I am putting links below!  This would be a great day for a Star Wars Marathon! Or, at least a great time to watch your favorite episode! You can purchase the DVDs, or watch them with Amazon Prime!
