Friday Faves: Favorite Pizza

Hey Alicia here doing Friday Faves while my parents are traveling for different graduations across the country.

So in case you missed it in my mom's last post about Adorable Baby Gifts, my family revealed that we are expecting another baby this fall (a girl)!

We chose to reveal we're having a baby girl with pizza because we LOVE pizza. It's just the perfect vehicle for getting deliciousness into your mouth. And the topping possibilities are endless. So that made me think of this week's question for Friday Faves: What's your favorite pizza?

My mom chose Papa Murphy's Chicken Alfredo pizza with spinach and sun dried tomatoes. She loves it because it's garlicky and so tasty. It makes her mouth water just thinking about it. And she (and I too) love how generous Papa Murphy's is with their toppings. Hopefully you have a Papa Murphy's near you so you can try it out. This is my favorite of their pizzas too!

When we were young, I remember that Lindsey liked sausage pizza. So, I wasn't surprised when she said her favorite pizza is meat pizza. She says she loves the marriage of the flavors of the different types of meats. "It's so delicious and if you're going to eat pizza it should be as delicious as possible."

Madalynn was next. Never one to shy away from controversy, she chose pineapple pizza. She says she loves it because it's so juicy and sweet and goes well with both vegetables and meat. My husband agrees for his favorite pizza to order is pineapple with bacon.

Not strictly just a meat pizza but it does have sausage and salame. I had to get a pizza for lunch after writing this post.

I decided that I get to pick two pizzas because I love pizza so much and can eat it everyday for every meal. My first pick is Red Baron Classic Crust Special Deluxe Pizza. It is usually less than $4/pizza. Plus it's pretty delicious. I like how the crust gets crispy but not too crunchy. It has lots of toppings: pepperonis, sausage, onions, peppers, mushrooms, and olives. I also love how the sauce is slightly spicy. We seriously probably eat this at least once a week. It's a great value.

My second choice and my favorite is real Italian brick oven pizza from a place in Salt Lake City called Settebello. They actually have 8 locations across California, Nevada, and Utah. It is so good. And it gets the seal of approval from real Italians! My sister in law's mother is from Italy and she loves this place. The way they are cooked makes the crust perfectly chewy. The toppings are so fresh and delicious. My husband and brother both love to get lots of extra prosciutto crudo on top. I like it too. If you haven't tried brick oven Italian pizza you need to. NEED TO!

Bonus: I also love to make pizza at home from scratch. and we have written a few pizza related posts here at 3 Winks. Check out how to make Pizza Pot Pie, or Renny's Cauliflower Crust Pizza. You can also just use the pizza crust recipe my mom loves from the Pizza Pot Pie post to make your own pizza's or calzones. I like to mix my dough up in my bread maker. It is so easy and only takes me 5 minutes of prep time. I have the Oster 2-Pound Expressbake Bread Machine. I love how easy it is to clean and use. You can make bread, dough and jam!
