Thank you for your support. Mixes in a jar are great gifts during the holidays and I've shared a number of recipes for them lately, which I will list below. I got to thinking about all of the recipes and realized that my SIL, who eats gluten-free, wouldn't be able to enjoy any of those recipes. So, I decided to come up with a way to put his favorite gluten-free treat into a jar so that he and people like him can enjoy a special edible gift just like everyone else! My SIL really enjoys the gluten-free Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Balls that I make for him on occasion. I decided to use that recipe and turn it into a Gift Mix in a jar just for him. You can also make this recipe with regular flour, but it is recommended that you toast the flour for safety before putting it into the mix. There is no need to worry about raw eggs in this recipe, because there are no eggs! These cookie dough balls taste like real cookie dough, but they is not going to turn out like regular cookies if you bake them. This is a recipe that comes together very quickly because there are very few ingredients and no baking involved! Who doesn't love chocolate chip cookie dough? Whether you make these with gluten-free flour or regular flour, they are always delicious. Here are a couple of tips when putting together the mix and then making the balls:
I'm giving you two recipe cards to print. If you click on them, they will take you to a printable pdf. The first one is the recipe for making the mix, with the recipe to make the mix as well. The second recipe is simple how to make the actual cookie dough balls with the mix. You can attach it to your jar when you gift it. I hope you give these a try for the gluten-free person in your life! I know they will love them! Here are other mix gifts in a jar we've shared:
