There is nothing more comfy than a pair of jeans and a tee shirt to hang out in and this Tee Shirt and Jeans pillow couldn't be easier to make and also comfy to rest your head on!  Remember the Heat 'n Bond craze of the 90's?  Well, it has made a return when making this pillow!  I love the look of the seam of the jeans going down the center of the pillow.
This pillow is a great way to preserve a memory brought on by a special tee just a little longer.  In this case, the tee is from my son's freshman football team.  He was the Offensive Line Captain that year and it was a great experience for him.  I think he will love keeping that memory alive a little longer with this pillow sitting on his bed.
You can make a pillow to preserve a special shirt of your own.  Do you have a great concert memory but the shirt has seen better days?  How about a vacation that you would love to revisit?  At some point you just have to part with those raggedy shirts, but you can pair them with your raggedy jeans in this project and make them special again!
From a section of the jeans leg, cut out a square. I found that I needed to tuck some of the fabric under the seam and re-stitch the seam to square it up. It will depend on the cut of your jeans.
Follow the directions on the Heat 'n Bond and fuse it to the chosen tee shirt front. Cut out the picture on the shirt as neatly as possible to get the look that you want.
Be sure to cover the picture with a towel before ironing it onto your jeans square. I loved putting it over the seam of the jeans. You could also have the seam run horizontally.
Use whatever fabric you would like to back the pillow. Sew it right sides together to the pillow front around 3 sides and a few inches on each side of the 4th side. Stuff with a pillow form and fill in any corners and gaps with fiber fill. Stitch the opening shut by hand.
I even put my son's name and number from the back of the shirt below the logo.
Super simple, comfy and cute!
I think my son will love it!
Send me photos of your tee shirt and jean creations!  I would love to see them!
So far I've shown you 3 projects made out of 1 pair of jeans!  There are more to go!  Have you tried any yet?  Maybe you have some ideas that I haven't thought of.  I'm so excited to show you some completely different things next week.  See you then!
