This Women’s History Month, we wanted to help highlight some of our favorite women-owned small businesses. We have a lot of amazing, business-minded friends and family listed here! We couldn’t include everyone, but here are 10 that we wanted to highlight.
Women-Owned Small Businesses1. Ditto Kids Magazine
You’ve heard us talk about this one a lot lately (and you can check out this interview Lindsey did with the owner here!), but we really are huge fans of Ditto Kids! Alex has done a great job bringing her vision to life and making anti-bias, anti-racist education truly understandable and accessible for kids. And yes, we do really use this magazine in our homes! The magazines are of incredible quality (much higher than regular “magazine quality”), so you can get long-term use out of them.
Check out Ditto Kids here! 2. Last Yesterday
Maybe we are biased on this one… but probably not. Jessica is part of the family and has been running her online Etsy shop, Last Yesterday, for many years. Just like her mom, she is incredibly crafty and talented. Previously known for her painted Harry Potter ornaments, she now has a wide collection of digital downloads and embroidered goods, from finger puppets to hats and beanies.
Check out her shop here! 3. Chloe Bird Art Co
With digital downloads on Etsy and custom orders on Instagram, Chloe Bird Art Co is a small but growing artist from Phoenix who specializes in portraits and fun stickers. Check out her work and order a portrait of your own! Also, be sure to follow her on Instagram to see when her stickers are available.
Check out her Instagram here! 4. Magic By Kaitlyn
Love Disney? Then check out Magic By Kaitlyn. It’s a new business venture by Kaitlyn Christine, a Disney beauty and lifestyle Youtuber. She offers tons of fun handmade and customizable products like tumblers and keychains (all Disney-related of course!). Our favorites are the cute little Disneyland coasters.
Check out her shop here! 5. Children’s Culinary Institute
Children’s Culinary Institute is a fun, age-appropriate curriculum where kids learn science, math, and more through cooking! Chef Arlena makes it easy and incorporates all different kinds of learning into her program. We got a glimpse of this at the virtual craft show this past fall, and even as an adult I loved it! See if there are any chefs teaching near you, or even sign up to teach your own classes!
Check it out here! 6. Bloom Headwraps
Bloom Headwraps are adorable little headwraps handmade by moms to make their daughters feel special. With their iconic bow and so many fun different patterns, they are the perfect little accessory for any outfit. You can also get mommy and me matching sets!
Check them out here! 7. Residual Resin
Another virtual craft show veteran, Residual Resin is the place to go for your resin needs. We picked out a cute little potted plant in a resin pot, but Raven’s biggest seller is her customizable earrings- and for good reason! The flowers, fun colors, and glitter make them fun and memorable.
Check out her shop here! 8. Color Me Culturally Confident
This is another favorite in our houses. These curriculums are great for young kids who want to learn about different cultures all over the world. They are hand-drawn and easy for young children to follow. You also get fun activities to go along with each subscription to learn about different important figures and holidays in each country.
Check it out here! 9. JIN Clothing Co
A fun new children’s clothing boutique, JIN Clothing Co offers quality handmade clothes that will take your kids’ style up a level. Shop owner Kelli Jean also makes Quiet Books, perfect for any antsy kid to have on hand! The stitch work is impeccable, and these pieces are definitely made with care, meant to last.
Check out her shop here! 10. Belinda Kou Lettering
Want to learn lettering? Belinda Kou is a talented freelance illustrator who offers tutorials and tips, has her own books, and, of course, a freelance business where you can hire her to do some lettering and illustrating for you! Her work is beautiful and the resources she provides for aspiring artists is amazing.

See anyone on this list that you’re super excited about? Remember that even if you can’t show your support by buying, a like, follow, comment, or share goes a long way for a small business! Show these awesome entrepreneurs some love today!
You can also check out our own Etsy shop here. Earlier this month we dropped some hand-drawn women’s history coloring pages. Learn about important women throughout history and color as you go!
