Spring is in the air and I have been busy sorting through all of my craft supplies and beginning to get my craft room organized! Yup! Spring cleaning is underway and it feels really good to get cupboards cleaned out and to make space for new things (ha ha) and to get rid of the dust and cobwebs of winter. I must say, getting my craft room into shape is a great motivator! I decided that a trip to Target was in order to see if they had anything that would help give me an extra Spring pick-me-up. So, I gathered up my granddaughter and we went on a shopping trip to see what we could find. So, for Friday Faves today I am going to show you the favorite things that we discovered! And, best of all was that no single item was over $5.00! If you want to find the same deals, you are going to have to click or go quickly because many of these things are seasonal or on sale this week! The first place I always stop is The Spot, that used to be called the 1 Spot because everything was $1.00. Now it is called the Spot because some of the things are $3.00 and $5.00. I tend to try to stick with the $1.00 items. There were so many cute things this time! Look at these cute Easter themed bubble wands! The tube of bubbles is nice and long for a lot of bubble enjoyment. These would be great in an Easter Basket! They are only $1.00 in The Spot. I wish that I could mail them to all of my grandchildren, but since they are liquid, I am not going to risk it. I am going to take some with me next week when Emily and I go and eat lunch with her cousins Spencer and Amelia. I know that Spencer loves bubbles and the weather is great now for bubble blowing. I can't find the Easter themed ones online, but here are similar ones without the Easter motif. Can you believe that these adorable cupcake pedestals are only a dollar in The Spot? I think that for $1.00 I can afford buy one for every place setting at a party table, (or the Easter table) to set everyone's cupcake on! So cute! I can't find these online, so you will have to find these in the store. After this purchase, I had to run home and bake cupcakes to try them out! Whenever we have an extended family dinner, my sister-in-law Karen is "expected" to bring deviled eggs. She is the best at making them and they disappear in no time. When we have dinners with just our kids and Karen won't be there, it falls to one of us to make the eggs. Lindsey shared a recipe with you on this post. To store and serve these delicious deviled beauties, I found this awesome tray for just $5.00 in the special Easter section of the store. It is the Spritz brand that Target uses for their party supplies. This tray isn't on the website, so you'll have to run in to get it. It comes in pretty pastel colors and I think with its snap on cover it will be perfect to store the eggs in the fridge in until serving time. One thing that I have been realizing for awhile now is that I need is some new potholders! I've had to throw some away because they were getting so raggedy that sometimes there would be a weak spot and I would burn myself when using them! I know that I should just make myself some, and I will get around to that. But, while I was walking through Target, in the Hearth and Hand with Magnolia section, I happened to walk past these! Look how fluffy and thick these Heart and Hand potholders are! One of them has a pocket to slip your hand in. They are marked at $8.99 for the 2 of them, so that is actually only $4.50 per potholder. They have a nice leather hanging loop on them and they look stylish as well as work wonderfully protecting your fingers. (I know this because I used them to pull the aforementioned cupcakes out of the oven.) These would be a great bridal shower gift, or like I did, a gift to yourself! I know that they are going to make me happy every time I use them! Finally, I picked myself up an Ava & Viv brand Tee for only $5.00! How could I pass that up? I love the spring flower print! I bought it in the Women's section, but the tees are on sale in many sizes. I purchased 1 size bigger if you are wondering why it looks big around the hips. I did this for length on my long torso and also to allow for shrinkage. Hurry and click to order because the sale is only for this week! I was able to get out of Target spending under $30.00 and I feel so happy with what I purchased! I was going to look at a couple of other things, but Emily started to fall asleep in the shopping cart, so we had to head home for her nap time. But, below are a couple of picture links to some of the other Spring time specials they have going on! Let me know what you find!

My husband and I accomplished a lot this past weekend. it was so great! It all started on Friday. I had been off doing a church assignment that morning and when I got home, he had left for work. But, before he left, he had gone on a shopping spree which is very unusual for him. He had been to Harbor Freight and sitting in the middle of my family room was a camp chair and a flashlight with a note that said "Happy Birthday!" He knew I needed a new chair for Girl's Camp this summer, so he picked me up one like he has, which is a favorite! (He had a coupon that made it cheaper!) Then, on the dining table, there was another package with a note that read, "Merry Christmas!" It was a heat gun! I am so excited because I had told him about a craft that my daughter-in-law is doing and I want to give it a try. It requires a heat gun and the one he got me is really nice, with variable speeds and temperatures! (Once again, a coupon!) More to come on that project!
Well, I don't really know what has gotten into him, but later that evening, after Awesome Husband was home from work, we were talking about various projects around the house, I mentioned that I wanted to get some tomatoes and basil planted in one of the garden boxes that we have out in our backyard. Well, the next morning he went out there and dug up the soil in that box and got it ready to plant in and we went off to the home improvement store and purchased the plants that we needed. They are now planted and growing and looking good so far. I hope you will later be seeing some recipes with the produce from that garden box! You got to love a man who does something to make one of your wants come true so quickly! The fun didn't stop there! This man of mine then went into my craft room and finished putting up all of the moldings, miter cuts and all, and even along the top of my sewing desk! All there is left to do is the caulking and paint touch-ups. It is looking so wonderful! Meanwhile I was doing some fancy cooking for him that I will blog about on another day, and the not so fancy laundry. But, today I will show you how the craft room is coming along at this stage of the game!
You can see my last updatehere. On that post I made a list of the things that still need to be done. We can just about cross off the trim moldings because all we have left to do is caulk and paint! Look how beautiful they are!
Another thing that I have started on, but have by no means completed, is the organization process. Since I have shelves in there that are available for use and it won't be in my husband's way if I start to fill them, I have begun going through things and putting them on these shelves.
A few years ago, I found some fabric boxes that are 13 x 13 inches on clearance at Target and they fit on my long shelf just right! I was able to get a super good deal on them at the time, so keep your eyes open for those clearance sales and weekly ads. I only had 3 and I needed 6 in all, so I ordered these from Amazon. But, there are a number of options available. My husband is going to add another long shelf below the original one for me and I will store my fabric boxes on that shelf when it is finished, saving the top shelf for less used items.
I decided that I needed a way to label the boxes with the type of fabrics that they are holding. I had some little wooden shapes that we had decorated with chalkboard paint at our Christmas in July party this past year. I thought they would look great on my boxes and I do really like them. I simply painted them with black chalkboard paint and used a chalk marker to hand letter them with the types of fabrics that I have.
I am loving the look, but looking forward to the lower shelf so that they will be easier to reach!
All in all, it was a pretty productive weekend that left us feeling satisfied with life around here! How about you? What projects are you working on? I would love to hear about them. Of course, I may end up giving my husband something else to do for me if I like them too much, ha ha! Thanks for stopping by!

Hello! Today we share with you Something to Wear as part of our children's gift guides. Something to Read and Something they Need have already been done. Stay tuned for Something they Want.
I'm so excited for this post because I love kids clothes! They're so cute and less expensive than my own clothes (usually). Kids look cute in everything so it makes shopping so much easier. Today I have found a bunch of cute clothes at Target for the kids. I personally buy my own kids clothes at Target. I love the price and sales they have. The quality is also great. My son has pants from there that still look nice after a year of frequent use from playing outside. I also like their Cat & Jack brand because they get kids in on the designing process! So there's more unique clothing choices. And my daughter has many cute clothes from Target, dresses, pants, shirts, pjs...she's a Target girl like her momma! So I feel confident in recommending these clothes to you today. My kids and I both love them and they get complemented on their outfits frequently. Right now Target is having a sale on kids clothes so it's the perfect time to buy. Buy One Get One 50% off! And if you order $35 of clothes shipping is free! Or you can have it shipped to your local store for pick-up. Something to Wear for Babies
Something to Wear for Toddlers
Something to Wear for School-Aged Kids
This is just a handful of all the cute clothes I saw on their site and in stores. Have a look for yourself and do your shopping from the comfort of your own home. Merry Christmas!

SO I'm going to show you my favorite things from this sale. And don't forget Target is having FREE Shipping and returns until 12/23! This means you can do your shopping in PJ's and possibly none of the extra spending that usually happens when you physically walk into a Target store (it's not just me right?)!

For the Clean Freak
I know some people would hate to get a vacuum as a gift, but I think we all know at least one person who would love it. Personally, I wouldn't mind. Today a Hoover WindTunnel 2 is on sale for $70, $30 off the original price! A really great price.
