family games
Every year during the holidays, new games are added to our family's collection.  We love playing games together when we gather for the holidays and we are always on the lookout for something we haven't played before, or an old classic that we haven't played in awhile.
Games make great Christmas gifts and you can find good ones for all of the ages in your family.  When everyone is together, they are a great way to spend time enjoying each other's company.  In our family, we have so many great memories of fun game nights when we laughed until we cried.
With Thanksgiving on the horizon and then Christmas right after that, now is a great time to look for some fun family games that you can give as gifts and/or enjoy as a family during your time together.  To give you some help, here is a list of past posts with game suggestions:
*Trivia Games-we give you a sample of how WE would answer some of the questions.  There are a variety of suggested games on this list.
*Card Games- this is kind of an all encompassing list with any games that rely strongly on cards, like Dominion.
*Some Fun Board Games
*Scrabble-the game and the crafts!
*Two Person Games-for smaller families!
*10 Great Party Games-This list is my particular favorite.
*Skyjo-this was our favorite this summer and even the youngest kids could play it!

But Wait!  That isn't all!  There are a few other games that I haven't even told you about yet!  You will love them all!

The Mind is an addictive cooperative game.  If you can finish it successfully, you are all winners.
Sushi Go is a card game that has players building the most expensive sushi that they can!  It sounds simple, but is lots of fun.  Up to 5 players may play at once.
Bananagrams is a fast paced cross between Scrabble and a Crossword puzzle.  It can be played by up to 8 players.  It has extra tiles that can be added to spice things up to the basic game as well.  Loads of Fun!
The classic game of Rack-o is one I remember playing with my family when I was young! I had forgotten about it until my son's family gave it to me for my birthday!  It is still a lot of fun to play!
I hope I've given you some new ideas for games that you can enjoy with your family!  Please! If you have tried any new games that you think my family will love, drop the titles in the comments for us! We're always "game" for a new game!
Oh!  I almost forgot!  Here is a free printable game I made you guys for Christmas last year.  You can still print it if you haven't done so yet.
