Hi Everyone! I am so excited about today's post because I have some exciting information to share with you!
You may think that a post about canning at the beginning of February is strange. But, here in Phoenix, it is very normal.  At this time of year, people's citrus trees are loaded with fruit like lemons, oranges and grapefruit that they are begging people to come and pick.  We have been the lucky recipients of some of this bounty! I am going to give you a recipe for Cranberry Orange Marmalade that I've come up with that makes use of the bushels of oranges we have been blessed with.
Before I do that, I want to tell  you about a company that we have just teamed up with! Have you heard of Zaycon Fresh?  Zaycon Fresh is a unique way to order meats and you can save 30-50% off store prices by cutting out the middleman (i.e. the grocery store).  This company is very diligent in ensuring the quality of their meats that if a local farming supplier does not meet Zaycon's standards, they will stop business with that farm.
Here is how Zaycon works. The meat is ordered in bulk 2-4 months in advance. The product is delivered to your local area in a refrigerated truck, with pickup in a private business or organization’s parking lot (like that of a church).
You don't even leave the car when you pick-up your order! You simply pull-up in the car line, give the representative at the site your name, pop open the trunk and the volunteer(s) load up your vehicle with your meat selections (even laying plastic down to protect the car). You can click on the link to take you to their site and find out when and where the orders will be available in your area just by typing in your zip code.

Zaycon just opened June's pickup offering for the boneless, skinless chicken breasts and it was decided last minute that an awesome way to kick off the sale would be to offer the $0.99/lb sale. So this sale will start today...
This offer is for new customers! So, when you make your order and go to check out, use the code SHARE99 to get this fantiastic deal!
I am so excited about this deal because, if you have followed 3 Winks very long, you will know that I love to can, and yes, I even can meat.  I am placing my order today for this great deal on quality meat.  It will arrive in June and I will be doing some canning.  One of my preparedness goals for this year is to do more canning, so I have been on the lookout for some good deals and this is a great deal. Later on this summer, I will show you my meat canning tips.
If you don't can meat, You can fill your freezer with some high quality chicken at a very good price!
If you are a returning customer to Zaycon Fresh, don't despair because I have a discount for you as well! If you order today, through 2/10/18, you can use the promo code JUNECHICKEN and receive 21.16% off of your order!
I hope you will give Zaycon Fresh a try with me this year!

Now, lets get back to what I have already canned! As I said, we have loads of oranges to use right now, and believe it or not, I still had fresh cranberries to use up! Those little things keep pretty well, but I needed to use them.  So, I decided to put them together into a Cranberry Orange Marmalade.  It tastes really good! I may tweak it a little later, and if I do, I will let you know, but for now this recipe is great and will be delicious on bagels, muffins or biscuits.

We still have lots of oranges, so watch for more recipes using them soon! I hope you give this one a try! And, don't forget to try out Zaycon Fresh!

The combination of fruit flavors sounds delicious! And I've never heard of canning meat. I will have to be sure to come back when you post about that.

I'm afraid I don't can. But my grandmother used to. And such sweet memories you've reminded me of. Thanks for a lovely visit via Blogging Grandmothers. :)
